Best First Feature Award — Every Winner and Nominee

Every film recognised in the Berlinale Best First Feature Award category in CineRoll's records: 12 films across 12 years, 13 of them winners.

The most recent winner is The Devil Smokes (and Saves the Burnt Matches in the Same Box) (2025); the earliest on record is A Soap (2006).

The last three winners were The Devil Smokes (and Saves the Burnt Matches in the Same Box) (2025), The Devil Smokes (and Saves the Burnt Matches in the Same Box) (2025) and Hedi (2016).

The list is newest first. Each year shows the winner at the top, then the other nominees; a year with enough nominees links to its own page.
