Special Mention — Every Winner and Nominee

Every film recognised in the Berlinale Special Mention category in CineRoll's records: 45 films across 8 years, 45 of them winners.

The most recent winner is A Family of Bastards (2026); the earliest on record is Cat Ballou (1965).

The last three winners were A Family of Bastards (2026), Matapanki (2026) and Memories of a Window (2026).

The list is newest first. Each year shows the winner at the top, then the other nominees; a year with enough nominees links to its own page.
