Special Mention – Best First Feature Award — Every Winner and Nominee

Every film recognised in the Berlinale Special Mention – Best First Feature Award category in CineRoll's records: 7 films across 6 years, 7 of them winners.

The most recent winner is Forest High (2026); the earliest on record is The Girl (2009).

The last three winners were Forest High (2026), We Believe You (2025) and The Battle of Tabato (2013).

The list is newest first. Each year shows the winner at the top, then the other nominees; a year with enough nominees links to its own page.
